Andrie Junior Development Cycling Team

MUSKEGON, Michigan – Danielle Mullis of the Andrie Junior Development Cycling Team competed at the Junior Track Nationals in Carson, California from June 25 – 29, 2014, where she set a new national record in the flying 250m lap. Danielle won the Points Race, this is a race where riders compete at a set distance and every 10 laps they ring a bell then sprint for points. The rider at the end of the race with the most amount of points wins the race, regardless of who crosses the line first on the final lap.  Read More »

Andrie Junior Development Cycling Team

MUSKEGON, Michigan – Six Members of the Andrie Junior Development Cycling Team (part of the West Michigan Coast Riders) attended the 26 kilometer 2014 Michigan State Time Trial Championship at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Andrie Hosts Security Training For Michigan State Police

MUSKEGON, Michigan - On April 28, 2014, Andrie Inc. hosted a security training session for twenty-one members of the Michigan State Police (MSP). The group included instructors, supervisors, and troopers from several MSP posts. Matt Stump Joins AWO's Board Of Directors

MUSKEGON, Michigan - On April 3, 2014 Matthew Stump, Manager, HSSE, was approved as a member of the American Waterways Organization (AWO) Midwest Region Board of Directors. Matt joins AWO's Midwest Board along with members from the Atlantic, Pacific, and Southern Regions to guide AWO policy and set the direction to promote the best interests of the tug and barge trade. Andrie Completes 2011 Season With A Zero Incident Rate

Andrie Inc. announced that for the second time in its corporate history the Transporation Group completed the entire 2011 season without a lost time accident. All nine Andrie owned and managed vessels achieved a zero incident rate, over 265,000 man hours. Matt Stump, Manager HSSE, presented the safety awards to each vessel at the Andrie Crew Week in Newport, Rhode Island. Matt challanged each team to repeat this exemplary performance in the 2012 season. Andrie Inc. Partners with USCG 9th District in Area PREP Exercise

MUSKEGON, Michigan – On August 23 & 24, 2011, Matthew Stump, Manager, HSSE participated in the U.S. Coast Guard 9th District “Detroit River Readiness 2011” along the Detroit-Windsor Corridor.  The Detroit River Readiness 2011 exercise scenario involved a terrorist attack resulting in 400 victims and a spill of over 200,000 gallons of oil. Security Exercise in Whiting Indiana

Andrie participated in a security exercise at the BP Whiting terminal, in Whiting, Indiana on September 13, 2006.  The exercise involved BP, Andrie, U.S. Coast Guard, FBI, and local law enforcement agencies.  The security exercise involved a hostage situation with eco-terrorists taking over the BP Marine dock.  The Andrie tug, Rebecca Lynn was used as a staging area for the FBI negotiating team.  The FBI SWAT team and U.S. Coast Guard also used the Rebecca Lynn tug as a staging area to conduct surveillance hostage rescue operations. The Andrie tug’s crew assisted federal agencies while on board the vessel.  The 4-hour drill was a success, as the participants gained a better understanding of each others operations and importance of proper communications.
